Lobbying

Many of Lerch Early’s land use attorneys are registered lobbyists at the local and state levels. Our lobbying activities include representing clients on master and sector plan proceedings, zoning text amendments, and pending legislation that predominantly affects the development industry.

Our lobbying work focuses mainly on the Montgomery County Council; however, we are actively engaged with the Executive Branch, the Planning Board of the Maryland-National Capital Park & Planning Commission, on matters permitted by law, and the state delegation in Annapolis. Our land use attorneys are also involved in lobbying efforts in Rockville and Gaithersburg. The Lerch Early land use team has extensive experience navigating the legislative process in a strategic, efficient, and effective manner.
