Overview
Morgan Foster practices family law, focusing on complex divorce and custody matters, drawing on 20 years of experience. She represents clients in all aspects of divorce, including division of assets, spousal and child support, custody, and visitation in Maryland and the District of Columbia.
Morgan’s approach to family law is shaped by her firsthand experience with the toll of prolonged litigation. She has seen the lasting strain it places on families—particularly children—and focuses on helping clients pursue thoughtful, forward-looking resolutions that reduce conflict, protect long-term interests, and support greater stability.
Morgan leverages her prior experience representing corporate clients—including Fortune 500 companies—in disputes involving mergers, acquisitions, buyouts, and other business dissolutions. She applies this background in “corporate divorces” to help clients navigate complex financial issues in divorce, including the valuation and division of sophisticated asset portfolios.
In addition to her law practice, Morgan has served on the Faculty of the Trial Advocacy College at the University of Virginia Law School since 2019, teaching trial advocacy skills to law students and experienced attorneys.
A divorced mother of two young boys, Morgan brings both personal experience and empathy to her work with clients navigating difficult family transitions. She maintains a positive, supportive co-parenting relationship with her ex-husband and has seen firsthand how the right approach can help children not only adjust but thrive beyond divorce.
