Overview
Caroline Lee-Ghosal advises businesses, property owners, lenders, title insurers, community associations, and individuals on complex litigation, real estate disputes, and business matters in Washington, DC and Maryland.
Drawing on her experience as a litigator, former in-house counsel, and the daughter of small business owners, Caroline understands that legal issues often carry broader business and personal consequences. She works closely with clients to navigate challenges thoughtfully, anticipate risks, and pursue practical solutions that support their long-term goals.
Caroline represents clients in commercial and business disputes, real estate and construction litigation, title and property-rights matters, and other complex civil litigation. She also advises property owners, developers, lenders, title insurers, and community associations in disputes involving ownership claims, title defects, easements, restrictive covenants, governance matters, and other issues affecting real property rights. In addition, she represents property owners and developers in real estate tax assessment appeals and litigation in Maryland and the District of Columbia.
Caroline’s practice extends beyond litigation. She assists clients with the purchase, sale, and leasing of commercial and residential real estate and advises attorneys and other professionals facing professional responsibility inquiries and complaints.
Previously, Caroline served as in-house counsel for a regional healthcare provider, where she advised on business, regulatory compliance, and labor and employment matters. That experience gives her firsthand insight into the legal, operational, and business challenges organizations face when making important decisions.
Caroline has served as Treasurer of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Maryland and is a member of the Montgomery County Bar Association.
A Connecticut native, Caroline lives in Bethesda with her family and dog, Remi. Outside the office, she enjoys traveling, cooking, exploring local restaurants throughout the DMV, and spending time outdoors.
