Lerch Early is pleased to announce that Morgan Foster has joined the firm as a principal in its Family Law/Divorce practice.
Foster represents clients in divorce and custody matters in Maryland and the District of Columbia, including cases involving significant financial and business interests. She brings 20 years of experience guiding clients through complex and often difficult family matters.
She is known for a practical, steady approach that keeps matters focused and moving forward, while helping clients protect what matters most.
“Morgan is a terrific addition to our group,” said Erin Kopelman, co-chair of Lerch Early’s Family Law/Divorce practice. “She is a strong, thoughtful advocate who skillfully manages both the legal and personal sides of family law and divorce matters.”
Foster also draws on earlier experience handling complex business disputes, which informs her work in matters involving closely held businesses and high-value assets.
“Her ability to step into complex situations, get to the core issues quickly, and guide clients toward workable solutions makes her a strong advocate for the individuals and families she represents,” said Meg McKinney, co-chair of the practice. “She keeps people focused and supported during what can be a very difficult time.”
Foster said she was drawn to the firm for its team-oriented approach and focus on client service.
“I was looking for a firm with a strong, collaborative family law team, and Lerch Early was a natural fit,” said Foster. “They really put clients first, which is how I approach my work. My goal is always to help people get through a difficult process in a way that sets them up for what comes next.”
Foster has also served on the faculty of the Trial Advocacy College at the University of Virginia School of Law – and will continue to serve on the faculty of the program which recently moved to William & Mary Law School.
