Employment Attorney Marc Engel to Speak at 2017 Nonprofit Talent & Culture Summit

Employment attorney Marc Engel will co-host a session on “Talent Acquisition & Pipeline Development” at the 2017 Nonprofit Talent & Culture Summit.

The session will focus on the role of hiring processes in developing the talent and culture at nonprofit organizations. Questions to be addressed include:

  • How do organizations increase the likelihood that their hiring decisions will prove to be correct in the short term and the long term?
  • How do successful organizations consistently work to retain successful employees? What proactive steps do organizations take to learn lessons from their employees who leave and were not a good “fit”?
  • What are the legal issues associated with hiring and cultivating talent, and developing a culture of success that is consistent with the organization’s mission statement and at the same time enticing to employees?

Marc’s session will be co-facilitated by Dawn Simmons, head of human resources, Americas, & HR partner, Schools Division at The International Baccalaureate. It will take place from 9:45-11 am on April 6.

The summit overall takes place from April 5-7 at the Washington Marriott Metro Center. For more information and to register for the summit, visit www.nonprofittalentsummit.com.
