Community Associations Attorney Ruth Katz Elected Vice President of the WMCCAI Board

Community associations attorney Ruth Katz has been elected vice president of the Washington Metropolitan Chapter of the Community Associations Institute (WMCCAI) 2020 Board of Directors.

Ruth has been active in WMCCAI for many years and served as chair of the Member Services Council and the Communications Council, as co-chair of the Maryland Legislative Committee, and as a member of the Quorum Editorial Committee. She previously has received WMCCAI’s Volunteer of the Year Award, President’s Award, Maryland Advocate of the Year Award, and Rising Star Award.

WMCCAI, a 501(c)(6) organization, is the largest of CAI’s 62 U.S. and international chapters with more than 3,000 members, six staff, and a $1.35 million budget. Locally, its members include 1,500 community association leaders and residents, 1,100 community managers, 80 community association management firms, and more than 300 companies who provide products and services to community associations.

Ruth Katz is a community associations attorney who helps board members of condominiums, cooperatives, and homeowners associations govern effectively. She provides general counsel to and resolves disputes for boards and property management companies in Maryland, DC, and Virginia.
