Overview
Amanda Sauer (formerly Amanda McGrath) guides individuals and families through the various components of lifetime wealth planning and post-death administration matters.
In designing estate plans, Amanda enjoys working with clients to ensure their unique objectives are reflected in their planning. Her relaxed approach makes clients feel welcome to ask questions until they understand and feel comfortable with the complex concepts that may be involved.
Amanda advises clients regarding wealth preservation strategies, testamentary planning, probate avoidance, establishing trusts for descendants, forming closely-held business entities, and incapacity planning. Amanda also helps fiduciaries and beneficiaries navigate the probate and trust administration process after a decedent’s death. Amanda serves a diverse population of clients including business owners, public servants, individuals, young families, and blended families. In addition, Amanda takes pride in providing an affirming experience for her LGBTQ+ clients and their loved ones.
Amanda is pursuing an LL.M. in Taxation at Georgetown University Law Center and is expected to graduate in 2027.
When she’s not in the office, Amanda can be found biking around D.C. with her daughter, line dancing, and trying out (or at least wistfully bookmarking) new recipes.
