Alison Rind, an attorney at Lerch, Early & Brewer, is a member of the firm’s Commercial Lending, Creditors’ Rights & Workouts and Real Estate groups. Her practice is focused on representing commercial lenders in loan transactions and other commercial matters. These include participants in SBA and other government-guaranteed lending programs.
Alison’s experience crosses a broad spectrum of lending areas. In addition to government programs, she handles real estate and asset-secured loans, construction loans, foreclosures and loan workout arrangements. Her clients include large national and regional financial institutions as well as smaller community banks in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area.
Known as efficient, responsive and professional, Alison connects with her clients. She understands that her work directly impacts her client’s relationship with its borrower, and cites the most successful closings as those in which her client and the borrower are both happy with the work she’s done. She joined Lerch Early in 2001 following 15 years in practice in the Washington, D.C. area.
In addition to writing articles for Lerch Early’s Commercial Lending and Real Estate Bulletins, Alison presents seminars and conducts training sessions for clients regarding all aspects of closing commercial loans and SBA loans.
Alison is a member and former president of the D.C. Land Title Association; serves as a committee member for the National Association of Government Guaranteed Lenders; and is a member of the SBA Quality Circle; the Women’s Leadership Exchange of Capital One Bank’s DC Business Advisory Council; and the Maryland, District of Columbia and Montgomery County Bar Associations. She is the recipient of numerous awards for her service, including the President’s Citation and the Committee Chair of the Year award from the Montgomery County Bar Foundation. For several years, she has co-chaired the Foundation’s annual golf and tennis silent auction event to raise funds for its pro bono efforts.
Alison received her Bachelor of Arts from The George Washington University and her Juris Doctor from The George Washington University National Law Center. She is licensed to practice in Maryland and the District of Columbia, and in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
Alison came to the Washington area during college and never left. Aside from missing the occasional Philly cheesesteak, she thinks of herself as a true “Marylander” and enjoys both the professional and personal relationships she has developed over the years.
