Overview

Matthew Tranter is a litigator who serves Maryland clients on a wide-range of commercial and related matters.

Thoughtful and creative, Matthew believes there’s no substitute for hard work to best meet the needs of his clients. After a win in court, an attorney on the case said Matthew’s work was “what great lawyering was all about: outside the box thinking, strong research on the facts and legal issues, and an ultimately cost-effective total win for our client.”

In his practice, Matthew has handled all facets of product liability, intellectual property, and other business litigation and appellate matters. He has represented clients in several state and federal courts, including a major generic pharmaceutical manufacturer in one of the largest multi-district litigations ever.

Matthew earned his law degree at the University of Virginia School of Law, and a bachelor’s degree from Franklin & Marshall College.

A Baltimore native, Matthew is fond of kitchen experiments and takes joy in discovering new music.
