Harry Lerch Discusses Purple Line Condemnations in Washington Post

Harry Lerch discusses the effect of the Purple Line in the Washington Post article “Building Purple Line would affect more than 340 properties, state says.”  He notes that potential takings by the state are most likely to affect Riverdale around East-West Highway. The state has the right to take private property by eminent domain, also known as condemnation to “serve the common good.” The firm has identified more than 200 properties likely to be affected by the Purple Line.
