Family Law Attorney Donna Van Scoy Joins Lerch Early

Lerch Early is pleased to welcome family law attorney Donna Van Scoy as a principal in the Divorce/Family Law practice.

Donna is a Maryland family law attorney with 30 years of experience representing individuals during their separation, divorce, and post-divorce matters. She is skilled in handling negotiations, mediation, collaborative law, and litigation.

“Donna is a very well-respected and accomplished family law attorney who is an exemplary leader in the legal community,” said Steven A. Robins, managing partner at Lerch Early. “Our clients will be extremely well-served by a lawyer with her professionalism, skill, and experience serving clients in a wide range of matters.”

Donna also represents clients in matters of child custody, access, child support, alimony, marital property, asset determination and division, settlements, and separation agreements. In addition, she handles issues of domestic violence, represents children as a Best Interest Attorney, and represents both sides in grandparents and third-party custody or access issues.

Donna practices law according to the Golden Rule, treating her clients how she would want to be treated by any professional. She believes success stems from hard work, and she is persistent and driven to achieve the best results for her clients. Donna works tirelessly with her clients so they are prepared to settle their case or, if necessary, litigate their case.

A strong advocate for her clients, Donna navigates them though custody and divorce matters, including complex financial matters and high conflict custody issues. Donna educates her clients to understand and participate in their family law matter to reach a fair settlement protecting their rights and interests. She is experienced in working with other professionals and experts on behalf of her clients, which may be necessary in custody or financial matters. Donna appreciates and understands the emotional and financial stresses divorcing families face, and she works with her clients and the opposing side to be open to creative and practicable settlements.

Donna treasures time with her husband and two adult children. They regularly spend time together, loving to travel and exploring new adventures. Donna also enjoys meals, outings, parties, and social events with family and friends.
