Marc Engel Presents Employment Law Workshop to Small Business and Nonprofit Employers
The Greater Silver Spring Chamber of Commerce and its Non-Profit Team are sponsoring an employment workshop at which employment attorney Marc Engel will help small business and nonprofit employers understand and comply with employment laws like:
- Proposed new federal overtime regulations
- Montgomery County's new minimum wage law
- Employee or independent contractor?
- The new Sick and Safe Act
- Time sheets and overtime
The workshop is for business owners and supervisors, as well as nonprofit directors and managers who are responsible for their organizations' hiring and employee management practices.
The seminar will be held Tuesday, December 8 at United Therapeutics at 1040 Spring Street in Silver Spring. Networking and check-in starts at 8:30 and the program runs from 9:00-10:30 am.
