Community Associations Attorneys Present Legislative Updates to Management Companies

Community associations attorneys Jeremy Tucker and Ruth Katz  conducted a series of presentations to management companies about changes to Maryland law that affect common ownership communities.  Presentation highlights included:

  • Dog injury liability  
  • Exposure to secondhand smoke
  • Foreclosure on liens


  • Jeremy Tucker is an attorney at Lerch, Early & Brewer who represents community associations and condominiums in a wide range of matters, including general counsel and litigation. He is vice president of the Community Associations Institute Washington Metro Chapter and chaired its Maryland Legislative Committee before he joined the board of directors.
  • Ruth Katz is an attorney at Lerch, Early & Brewer who is focused primarily on litigation issues faced by homeowners associations, condominiums and cooperatives. She is active in WMCCAI and serves as co-chair of CAI’s Maryland Legislative Committee.
