Brad McCullough Named "Humanitarian of the Year"
Interfaith Works named Brad McCullough its 2011 "Humanitarian of the Year" at the 14th annual County Companies Caring Breakfast. Brad has volunteered at Interfaith Works for more than 15 years. He started as a volunteer and mentor, playing basketball and visiting with homeless adults, and preparing, serving and sharing meals at a shelter. He went on to join IW's board of directors, and twice served as board chair. IW said, "Brad became an exceptional leader in our education and advocacy work, convening communitywide forums on topics central to the plight of the needy in our community, including the impact of the death penalty of families and victims, welfare reform, casino gambling, immigration and the role of faith in public policy."
Interfaith Works is a non-sectarian interfaith coalition of more than 165 member and affiliated congregations representing over 75,000 families of many faiths, working together to meet the needs of the poor in Montgomery County, Maryland.
