Litigator Stuart Berman spoke on "The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission: Your Best Friend or Your Worst Enemy?" at a continuing legal education seminar for the Bar Association of Montgomery County. This course was an introduction to dealing with the SEC, from working with them to ensure compliance to defending against allegations of SEC violations.

As an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Maryland, Stuart prosecuted many complex cases involving financial, economic,and regulatory crimes. Now as a defense attorney, he has represented current and former officers and employees of businesses in investigations involving price fixing, fraud, money laundering, bribery, and conflict of interest.
