Patrick L. O'NeilPatrick O’Neil is an attorney in Lerch, Early & Brewer’s Land Use & Zoning and Community Associations groups. He works with real estate developers, community associations and property owners on land use and zoning issues, and helps to shepherd projects through the planning process, including preparing, filing and seeking approval for site plans, rezonings, special exceptions and variances. Patrick also works with property owners whose land has been condemned by the government under eminent domain in order to obtain just compensation for their property. He takes an active role in the Montgomery County master plan approval processes. Health care facilities, nursing homes, senior care and assisted living centers also turn to Patrick for counsel. His clients appreciate his calm demeanor and forthright approach to the law. They report he quickly understands their issues without losing sight of the practicalities and legal nuances involved in reaching successful resolutions. Patrick received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Boston College and his Juris Doctor from The Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law. Patrick is admitted to practice in Maryland, the District of Columbia and Virginia. Patrick is the chair of the Greater Bethesda-Chevy Chase Chamber of Commerce and serves on the Montgomery County Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) Implementation Committee. He also graduated from the Leadership Montgomery program in 2008. A Washington, D.C., native, Patrick taught at his alma mater, Gonzaga High School, prior to practicing law.
