Jason Fisher, a Lerch, Early & Brewer attorney, co-chairs the firm’s Community Associations group. Jason provides skilled representation to community and homeowners associations, condominiums and co-operatives in Maryland and the District of Columbia, and is recognized as a leader in the community associations field.

Thorough, incisive and forthright, Jason serves as general counsel to boards of directors and management companies, providing legal opinions, dispute resolution and avoidance strategies, and contract negotiation services. He litigates cases before administrative agencies, trial and appellate courts, and represents clients in mediation proceedings. Many of his cases involve complex issues such as construction defects, covenant enforcement, fair housing claims and breach of fiduciary duty allegations.

Jason’s clients appreciate his ability to analyze difficult situations and offer practical legal counsel. One client noted that Jason always gives “the real answer ... not just what I wanted to hear.” That approach, coupled with his accessibility and responsiveness, helps clients make informed decisions in a demanding business environment.

Jason is a prominent member of the Community Association Institute’s Washington Metropolitan Chapter, serving as its president in 2010 and on the board of directors and executive committee since 2005. He also served for more than five years on the Maryland Legislative Action Committee for Community Associations Institute, where he was instrumental in bringing about positive changes in Maryland law impacting community associations. His involvement in CAI allows him to keep abreast of the latest industry developments and proposed legislation while promoting advancements for education and community.

Jason is admitted to practice in Maryland and the District of Columbia, and is a member of The American Trial Lawyers Association. He regularly lectures and writes articles about issues facing community associations.

Born in Silver Spring, Md., Jason received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Maryland and his Juris Doctor from Widener University School of Law where he was awarded the Outstanding Service Award for his graduating class. Prior to joining Lerch Early, he served as law clerk to the Honorable Paul H. Weinstein, chief administrative judge for the 6th Judicial Circuit of Maryland.
