Emily B. Rachlin

Emily Rachlin is a lawyer in the Community Associations and Litigation groups at Lerch, Early & Brewer. She helps community association managers and boards with general association issues like document interpretation and amendments, as well as with dispute resolution and covenant enforcement. She also represents clients in a wide variety of civil and commercial disputes.

Known for her attention to detail and ability to solve problems for clients, Emily has successfully defended community associations and other businesses in various lawsuits. She also helps community associations with creditors’ rights and collection issues, and assists with bankruptcy matters.

She is admitted to practice in Maryland and the District of Columbia, as well as the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland.

Emily received her Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from the University of Maryland and her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the University of Maryland School of Law where she was inducted into the Order of the Coif.

Prior to joining Lerch Early, Emily served as law clerk to Judge Mary Ellen Barbera of the Court of Appeals of Maryland, then of the Court of Special Appeals of Maryland.

Emily, who was born in Baltimore, now resides in Rockville, Md., with her husband and daughter. She enjoys reading and travel, and ranks Italy as her favorite vacation destination.
