Christine Buckley, a Lerch, Early & Brewer attorney, is with the firm's Estate Planning & Probate group. She represents individuals in estate and trust administration and also in the drafting of wills and trusts.
Admitted to practice in Maryland, Christine’s approach to estate planning and administration matters reflects her passion for the law and her caring and compassionate nature.
Christine works with a named Personal Representative to assist him or her in obtaining appointment as Personal Representative and to begin the estate administration process. She also assists the Personal Representative in filing documents with the Register of Wills, and prepares and files federal and state estate tax and fiduciary income tax returns. She also frequently works with Trustees to administer trusts through the preparation of annual accountings and filing of fiduciary income tax returns.
Prior to joining Lerch Early, Christine interned at the Internal Revenue Service's Office of Employee Plans and practiced at two local firms where she gained experience in estate planning and corporate and tax law. She drafted powers of attorney, advance medical directives, wills and trusts. She also handled administration of regular and small estates – from beginning to end – and prepared multiple pleadings for estate litigation. Christine also prepared corporate and tax documents.
Christine earned her Bachelor of Arts from Elizabethtown College in Pennsylvania; her Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore, where she was a member of Phi Delta Phi, the International Legal Honors Society; and her Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center.
Christine is active in the Maryland Bar Association, the Women’s Bar Association and the Montgomery County Bar Association.
A resident of North Bethesda, Christine enjoys traveling, being active and spending time with family and friends.
