Deborah Webb has been named a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. The AAML is comprised of more than 1,600 of the country’s top divorce and family law attorneys who are committed to encouraging the study, improving the practice, elevating the standards, and advancing the cause of matrimonial law, in order to better protect the welfare of American families.
Membership in the AAML requires testing, peer review, review by judges, and recognition as a first-rate matrimonial lawyer. The applicant must be recognized by the bench and bar in his or her jurisdiction as a highly skilled practitioner in the matrimonial law area and as one who practices with honesty, integrity, and professionalism. He or she must have substantial trial experience, including trial of custody matters, child support, division of property, alimony or spousal support, including examination of expert witnesses and must be able to competently handle complex matrimonial law litigation as the lead counsel. Consideration shall be given to the applicant’s ability to achieve settlement without the necessity of a trial.
