Anthony Millin Speaks at MIT Enterprise Forum About Alternative Financing Tools for Uncertain Times

November 17, 2011

Anthony Millin recently spoke on a panel about "Alternative Financing Tools for Uncertain Times" presented by the MIT Enterprise Forum of Washington, DC and Baltimore. Fundraising for an early-stage company requires particular creativity when the economy heads south. This event went beyond the basics of simple equity investments and loans to look at how companies are using more advanced financial tools like convertible notes to reach their goals. Attendees heard how two young companies are bucking the odds and bringing in cash in novel ways, with commentary and feedback from the panel and audience.

The MIT Enterprise Forum has promoted the growth, education, and success of the entrepreneur and business community of the greater Washington & Baltimore area since 1981. Its many programs are targeted to local start-ups, high technology businesses, venture capitalists, angels, and the professionals who support them. The local chapter is one of a network of over 25 worldwide chapters of the Enterprise Forum, which was created as an outreach educational program of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.).
