Patrick O’Neil practices in the firm’s Land Use & Zoning and Community Associations groups. He works with real estate developers and property owners on land use and zoning issues, He helps shepherd projects through the planning process, including preparing, filing and seeking approval for site plans, rezoning, special exceptions and variances. He also works with property owners whose land has been condemned by the government under eminent domain to obtain just compensation for their property, and he has been active in the master plan approval processes within the county.
Patrick received his B.A. in Political Science from Boston College in 1990 and his J.D. from The Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law in 1999. While in law school, he served as the Vice Chancellor for the Civil Rights Moot Court Competition. Upon graduating from law school, he served as a law clerk for Judge Nelson W. Rupp, Jr. of the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, Maryland. Patrick is admitted to practice in Maryland, the District of Columbia and Virginia.
Patrick is the chair of the Greater Bethesda-Chevy Chase Chamber of Commerce and serves on the Montgomery County Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) Implementation Committee.
