Mr. Metz practices in the corporate and regulatory areas with an emphasis on the health care field. He was born in Syracuse, New York, on September 3, 1952. He received his B.A. degree, magna cum laude, in economics, from Amherst College in 1974. He then attended the University of California, Berkeley, where he received his M.A. in economics in 1977, and his J.D. in 1979. Following graduation from law school, Mr. Metz served with the Federal Trade Commission enforcing the federal antitrust laws. From 1982 to 1993, Mr. Metz developed his health care practice at a large Baltimore, Maryland law firm. He is active in the general representation of the firm's clients, particularly health care and hospital clients. He is a member of the bars of Maryland and the District of Columbia.
