Theodore Goldstock is a principal practicing in the areas of Business and Taxation and Commercial Litigation. He counsels businesses on a broad range of corporate and commercial law matters and represents clients in business-related disputes and litigation. He also counsels family owned businesses on succession planning, governance and other issues unique to family owned enterprises.

As a business attorney, Mr. Goldstock draws on his unique experience as the former COO and general counsel for a mid-sized family owned business. He currently serves as general counsel to many clients, who appreciate his counsel and understanding of problems facing businesses. Mr. Goldstock’s practice includes all manner of commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, business formations, operating agreements, shareholder agreements, leasing and general corporate law.

Mr. Goldstock maintains an active commercial litigation practice, advising clients throughout all types of business disputes, including disputes among shareholders and limited liability company members. His representations include litigation in the Courts of Maryland and the District of Columbia, and in administrative proceedings and appeals. Mr. Goldstock also has substantial experience representing business clients in arbitration proceedings and related litigation regarding the arbitrability of disputes.

Mr. Goldstock provides family business succession planning and counseling, drawing on a deep understanding of the issues facing business families, and an ability to customize business solutions, based on the qualities and circumstances unique to each family and company.

Mr. Goldstock received his A.B. degree, magna cum laude (Phi Beta Kappa), from Dartmouth College in 1980. He also attended the Chinese University of Hong Kong. In 1983, he received his J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law. He is admitted to practice in Maryland and the District of Columbia.

Mr. Goldstock serves on the Board of Directors of The Greater Silver Spring Chamber of Commerce, where he also serves as general counsel. He also serves as general counsel to the Board of Green Acres School and he is a member of the Board of Bethesda Arts and Entertainment District, Inc.
