Mr. Early practices primarily civil litigation. He was born in Washington, D.C. in 1943 and joined the firm in 1973. He received a B.A. degree from Gettysburg College in 1965 and a J.D. degree from American University in 1968, and is a member of the D.C., Maryland, and Florida bars. He was in the Judge Advocate General's Corps, U.S. Navy, and prosecuted and defended courts-martial, ultimately sitting as a military courts-martial judge. He is
a past president of the Montgomery County Inns of Court, as well as Past-Chairman of the American University Law School Development Council. Mr. Early is a past chairman of the Committee of Management, Bethesda-Chevy Chase YMCA, and past chairman of the Board of the Shady Grove Adventist Hospital Foundation. He is a Fellow of the Maryland Bar Foundation and is Past-Chairman of the Judicial Selections Committee 1992-94, (Committee Chair of the Year, 1993), and was a member of the Executive Committee (1996-98) of the Montgomery County Bar Association.
