Lerch Early Bankruptcy Group Presents Training for Pro Bono Attorneys

Jeff Sherman, John Tsikerdanos and paralegal Erin Moyer are presenting their semi-annual "Bankruptcy Training for Pro Bono Attorneys" on May 1. The two-day program designed prepares attorneys to provide pro bono legal representation to Chapter 7 debtors. Topics includes the client interview procedures, case screening and evaluation, the automatic stay, completion of schedules, exemptions, discharge provisions and conflicts of interest.

Participants in the program must agree to accept two pro bono referrals from one of the organizations that sponsored the event: the Archdiocesan Legal Network, the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Program Bankruptcy Clinic and Legal Counsel for the Elderly.
