Profiles in Success
Art Lafionatis was profiled for the next edition of Profiles in Success, a collection of profiles designed to inspire current and future small-business owners. The case studies highlight personal stories and words of wisdom from a diverse group of business leaders in and around the Washington D.C. area. They cover a wide and varied array of successes and innovations with an emphasis on entrepreneurialism and a positive spirit. To read the profile, please click on the PDF below. The story notes in part:
"[His] diverse interests and experiences may also factor into Art’s unique ability to foster genuine and lasting relationships with his clients—a proclivity that is largely lacking in the legal field today. “My biggest successes are the several clients I have who’ve been with me for 20 or 25 years now,” he remarks. “We’ve been through a lot of ups and downs together, but the relationship is still there and still strong.” Whether this relational ability is derived from his parents, who were truly relationship people in all aspects of life, or whether it stems from his own ability to maintain an open, impassioned, and diverse perspective, Art’s ability to connect with clients has allowed him to evolve into a better person and a better lawyer than he would have otherwise."
Art Lafionatis is an attorney and chairman of the board of law firm Lerch, Early & Brewer in Bethesda, Maryland. He works on a range of matters, from commercial real estate, lending and business transactions to business counseling and succession planning. His clients include a number of wholly owned, commercial real estate developers in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area and several prominent financial institutions.
