Sigrid Haines and Richard Ruprecht recently spoke at the annual VPA Convention about "Health Care Decisions: Have You Made Yours?" Sigrid, a health care attorney, and Richard, an estate planning attorney, both practice in Lerch, Early & Brewer's Elder Law group. VPA promotes and organizes cultural and educational programs for the Vokkaligas population of North America. Vokkaliga community members are those who can trace their ancestry to people engaged in the farming occupation in India. Sigrid and Richard addressed the issues involved in making health care decisions, including powers of attorney, advance health care directives and guardianships.
