In the Gazette article "Six years of rezoning, highway permits and site plan amendments: JBG's ‘patient capital' pays off at North Bethesda Market," Steve Robins discusses the development of North Bethesda Market in White Flint, which took more than 30 legal and planning steps over the course of six years. The Gazette writes:
As Robins recalls, the project took more than 30 legal and planning steps — from the rezoning to the highway access permit for a new road onto Rockville Pike and four site plan amendments as construction was under way — each of which could have substantially delayed the project.
