Community Involvement

The attorneys at Lerch, Early & Brewer understand that practicing law involves more than the day-to-day activities of representing our clients. It also requires a commitment to the community in which we practice, and an effort to provide public service and legal assistance to those who cannot afford it. Through our pro bono and community service efforts, our attorneys strive for the improvement of the community, administration of justice and our profession by providing free or reduced-fee legal services to those who often need effective legal representation the most. We encourage attorneys to devote their time in pursuit of these goals.

Some examples of organizations that we represent, and whose clients we represent, in pro bono matters include:

  • Adventist Community Services
  • Montgomery County Adult Protective Services
  • Archdiocesan Legal Network of Catholic Charities
  • CASA of Maryland
  • Jewish Legal Network

In addition to pro bono legal work, our lawyers are active in a wide variety of community and charitable endeavors, working with and for many civic, community, cultural, governmental, educational and medical organizations that seek to improve our community and the lives of all of its citizens. We believe that by participating in these kinds of groups, we are not only able to help improve the quality of life in our community, but also to improve the working environment in our firm. Some of the organizations our attorneys are involved with include:

  • BCC Boosters Foundation
  • Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School
  • Bethesda-Chevy Chase Rotary
  • Bethesda Kiwanis
  • Combat Recovery Fund
  • Committee for Montgomery
